purchased sailor moon stars (season 5) on Apple TV and states the original audio in Japanese is available.
but when I go to play it, it’s in the terrible English dub version and there’s no option to switch to Japanese audio with English subtitles.
any assistance would be appreciate. I’ve checked the audio options and the info options.
I have the same problem, but with the sailor moon movies. It distinctly says in the description that it comes with English and Japanese audio, but after purchasing only the English audio is available.
Apple would list ‘Original Audio’ as what it was in the original source (including partially), how the director made it. That doesn’t necessarily mean that all of that is included in the stream. The other ‘Audio’ header would list what is actually included. This would signify dubbing when different.
I see what you’re saying, and in hindsight it makes sense, but when making a purchase of something in multiple languages it doesn’t make sense at purchase until you’ve bought it and realize what that meant. For the reason, I still find it misleading… especially for something such as Anime that you would expect to have a Japanese and (maybe) a dubbed track.
It’s pretty misleading, isn’t it?
