Anime in Japanese Language (English Subtitles)

I want to purchase anime series episodes through my Apple TV account, but I want to be able to watch the episodes in Japanese with English subtitles. Is this not an option yet? I can’t seem to find anything.. I would gladly pay for these shows but I do not want the English dubbed versions.

No Japanese audio on anime purchase purchased sailor moon stars (season 5) on Apple TV and states the original audio in Japanese is available. but when I go to play it, it’s in the terrible English dub version and there’s no option to switch to Japanese audio with English subtitles. any assistance would be appreciate. Why can't Apple get subtitles right? Multilingual shows on Apple TV continue to be plagued by inept subtitling. Why, when watching the new “Land of Women” on an AppleTV set to English, with subtitles set to automatic, do I receive subtitles for English as well as Spanish?! Please provide a setting to turn this OFF. Neither automatic nor English works in subtitle settings.

have you tried to change language and subtitles on the show?

Change subtitles or languages for videos in the Apple TV app or iTunes Store - Apple Support
