Mac mini m4 sleep issue

When I put my Mac mini into sleep after a short while the gaming keyboards lights come on and my monitor power led changes from white (standby) to blue which means it's been activated.

However nothing appears on the screen and after about 30 seconds both the keyboard and monitor lights go out. This repeats over and over randomly but too often for my liking.

So I am having to shutdown the Mac rather than use sleep mode. Anybody else have this issue and have any suggestions or is it just the way it is.

It wouldn't be so bad but my gaming monitor has lights on the back which light up every time the power light changes to blue.

Yeah I've already set mine to 2 minutes, I've got a Dell AW3225QF 240 Hz 4K monitor and I was using it in 240 Hz mode but had problems when it was coming out of monitor standby so set it to 120 Hz and now it comes out of standby no problem.

I was just hoping to be able to use sleep mode but if it's not recommended then I won't.
