Does anyone know the difference between these two USB-C to Lightning cables?
They appear to both be genuine model numbers from Apple.

If you are concerned about the quality or originality of these "Apple" cables, you should consider getting them directly from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller.
To directly answer your question, the only difference is their length. Whether or not they are original Apple cables there is no way anyone here can guarantee that for you.

Ah sorry, you slightly misunderstand!
I have both of these cables - bought new from Apple, but not in the same country or at the same time. I think I bought the first one about 3 years ago, the second quite recently. They are both 2m long but the model numbers different.
I wanted to know if anyone knows why Apple changed the model number and whether any specs have changed. Maybe it's just a regional thing...just wondering whether anyone out there has the answer.

AFAIK, the newest versions of the Apple cables now come with a "braided-like" covering; whereas, the earlier versions were "smooth."
Since Apple has not provided any details, related to exact specifications, there is no way for me to tell you why they would be different. Doing an Internet search for both of these model numbers did not reveal any information from Apple, only third-party sellers.
