iCloud contact labels keep resetting at random

Seemingly since the iOS 17.0 update the labels associated with my iCloud contacts (using an @icloud.com email address) keep resetting to “phone” or “address” from “iPhone” or “home” (as examples). There’s no behaviour associated with it, it seems completely unprompted, not tied to restarting my iPhone, and happening across all my Apple devices. I also noticed it is not affecting my wife.

My main concern is when I’m driving and using CarPlay, I cannot reliably “call my wife on her iPhone” or “navigate home” because all the labels that would be tied to have reset. Any thoughts?
