Mac Sonoma 14.3 Laptop Heating Issue

Hello

Today, I upgraded my Mac to Sonoma 14.3, and I noticed that my laptop started heating up. I attempted to disable background themes, but the issue persists. This has never happened before, and I suspect there might be a problem with the Mac OS affecting the battery. Kindly investigate the issue. I find myself needing to shut down my laptop every time it overheats. :( Initially, I thought it was just me, but I can see that other people using this Mac OS are also experiencing similar issues.

i m having exactly same issue after updating my macbook air m1 to sonoma 14.3.1 and now heating has became an issue. previously my macbook was actually cold most of the time, heating was not even in the picture, not heating is so much that puting on lap makes it uncomfortable. heating is in the below middle part mostly.

When you update the OS Spotlight starts to organize files again. It may take some time to finish which may generate more heat than normal. After several hours it should be OK. If not then you may have some other issue.
