After IOS 17.3 update both iphone XS & iphone 13 wifi greyed out & randomly restarting

Updated both my iphone XS & iphone 13 to IOS 17.3 & immediately after restarting from update there is absolutely no WIFI, can't even see other wifi networks, when pressing the wifi option it freezes a bit & takes several seconds to open wifi settings, wifi on & off button is completely greyed out & you can't press to even turn wifi on or off, when Edit is pressed it also freezes for several seconds & is completely blank when it finally does open. Tried resetting the network settings & nothing happens. Both phones are also getting really hot & restarting randomly even when not in use. Didn't back up either phone so I don't want to reset to factory settings & lose all my photos & videos. Wondering if anyone has found a solution to fix this at all without a factory reset. Both phone worked perfectly fine before the update was installed, never had any problems with wifi or restarting with either phone previously.

Mine is doing the same thing and they know it is the code but when I went on they wanted me to buy a new phone. Why don’t they just create a patch to fix it. They say I have a bad wi fi module or antenna. It worked great until upgrade. I am not buying a new phone. Oh yea, after shutting down and waiting a minute and turning back on it works! Only to eventually restart and not work after that!! Not impressed with their support not knowing and addressing the issue.

I went to an authorized apple service provider store today & I told them about the problem, they said that it's definitely a software issue but it could be an app or some sort of malware that was on the phone that triggered the issue that could be connected to my apple account data since both phones are linked to the same apple account. But they said the only way to be sure is by backing up the data, resetting the phone to factory settings, seeing if the wifi starts working again after the reset & then redownloading the backed up data onto the phone & if the issue happens again then it's some software or data on my phone somewhere causing the issue. But I'm saying if there was malware or something wrong with an app why wouldn't the problem occur before? Why would only after the update would malware or some software or data issue happen if it supposedly wasn't the update? They tried to say well millions of people did the update with no issues to their phone. But looking through this forum I'm seeing quite a lot of people having all sorts of issues with wifi, cellular data & all sorts of other problems only after doing variations of the 17 update. It seems like the update is glitchy, not our phones themselves, the update is the common factor in all of the problems I'm seeing.

iOS updates generally aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. Wi-Fi Greyed issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors.
