How does one search for content in the new iOS Journal app?

There does not appear to be a way to search for content in the new iOS 17.2 Journal app. Am I missing something?

Journal needs its own private local search function preferably with an A.I. assist to find more complicated material. Otherwise the app is totally useless. For today I entered the expression 'vaccinated today' in Journal and in Calendar, and then used global iOS search to find the word 'vaccinated'. It couldn't find it in Journal but it did find it in Calendar. The Journal app is NOT ready for prime time. I'll continue using Calendar as a quasi-Journal app until the Journal app 'grows up'.
