After the latest update (iOS 17.4) on my iPhone 14 Pro, the Journal app opened but didn't work. Restarted the device, deleted and reinstalled the app, the app opens with the Welcome to Journal Screen and the Continue button doesn't work. I switched from Momento since the beginning of the year...hope it's not a big mistake!

I have the same problem. I have contacted Apple. They said they would get back to me and never did. I have since switched to the Day One app for my journal entries works better than the Apple app.
Thanks so much for your input. After the update everything works fine save for the Journal app. What settings you reckon I should check in this scenario? It appears the only solution is to restore from the backup, right?
Same here! Mine is frozen on the first screen. Before this happened upon opening the app i would see my most recent entries and now I cant even enter anything…the plus sign and menu sign are there but nothing happens when i tap on them. I contacted Apple and they said its a third party app so i would need to reach out to them directly but they didn't have a number smh
