Speak Screen issues on 17.1.1

I have an iPhone 13 and have used the speak screen to read books in Kindle for some time. After updating to 17.1.1, the speak screen has some issues:

-It voices ‘double left quotation mark’ sometimes near the end of a page and then skips the last few words and moves to the next page. This appears to happen when the page ends in the middle of a quote, but not always.

-Sometimes it skips the last several lines on a page without being in the middle of a quote and turns to the next page. I can’t see any consistent reason for this. It doesn’t voice anything before it skips ahead in this instance

-Sometimes the speak screen just stops for no apparent reason.

Anyone else??
