TOUCH ID — iPhone 8, iOS 16.7.2

I once had the ability to use touch ID. NOW I DO NOT!

I DO NOT HAVE THE PATIENCE OR THE TIME TO REITERATE ALL THE STEPS I HAVE TRIED.

The updates have eliminated my success in using touch id.

iPhone 8, iOS 16.7.2.

I have followed ALL recommended suggestions from cleaning the home button to washing and DRYING my fingertips. I have tried prints of ALL my fingerprints. I have tried keeping an older print (s) and creating a new one (s) many times on many different fingers. I have no trouble creating the prints and the print may work appropriately one or two times, then IT CONSISTENTLY STOPS WORKING!

Someone, please help me resolve this problem and ongoing frustration.
