Why isn’t double tap available for family watch!!!

I find extremely disappointing that Apple sold the Apple Watch 9 series with all its new wonders. Of double tap gesture only to find it wasn’t coming for another month or two. And then even better IT DOES NOT work with watches set up as family…where was all this release????? Fancy watch feature should be available with all series 9 or make it VERY CLEAR!!!

Child’s Apple Watch not showing in Screen Time I have twice now set up a child’s Apple Watch under my iPhone under the Family Sharing method, and both times the watch would not show under Screen Time. The watches were set up correctly so please do not repost the Apple page on setting up a watch in Family Sharing as that is not helpful. When I go to Screen Time in the Watch app it does not have any actions; only a link back to the Screen Time page in my iPhone’s Settings app. But in the Settings Screen Time page the watch does not appear anywhere. Family Sharing and Screen Time are basically useless despite how they are advertised. Has anyone actually had success in correctly linking a child’s watch to Screen Time?

Apple watch family setup will not allow any additional apps to be added to an (under 12) child's apple watch? Hi There, It seems that we are unable to add apps to an apple watch that is set up under family setup. Is this because my child is under 12 or is it that this is the case regardless? In other words, are there any apple watch apps that do not require an iphone app? Is there a list of apps available that can be uploaded to a family setup apple watch? My child's apple watch indicates all apps are available but when we go to dowload we are blocked... Given this is one of the key features of the apple watch we are a bit disappointed...

True, but they literally sold the series 9 and ultra 2 as being the only two able to use the gesture. It’s false advertisement it’s not a software change its a selective charge they are blocking it as the watch come enabled.

Any software is subject to changes and limitations before being released (when you have the actual capabilities)
