UNABLE TO RECORD VIDEO MESSAGE WITH FACETIME

THE BUTTON FOR TO RECORD VIDEO MESSAGE WITH FACE TIME IS GREYED OUT ON MY PHONE. I DID LOOK FOR SUPPORT , IM LEFT WITH A RESET PHONE AND THE SAME ISSUE... IPHONE12 PROMAX IOS17.0.2... ANY ASSISTANCE WOULD BE GREATELY APPRECIATED.
