Air printing with iPad iOS 17

iPad Air. Ipad iOS  17.0.2

Printers

Canon Inkjet (air printer) TR8500

Kyocera Laser network and air printer FS2100 TN

Since the upgrade to iPad iOS 17 my new iPad Air has been unable to print to my Kyocera laser printer which it did before the upgrade,

My iPhone 8 which is still on iOS 16 still prints to the Kyocera Printer as does older MacBook Air running OS 10.15.7

The iPad will see the Kyocera printer on the network as an air printer but after installation will not print.  Printer name just disappears

All devices are on the same network.

I also have a Dell Laptop and HP desktop which print without issues to both printers.

Obviously an air printing issue with iPad iOS 17, is there a fix!

I do not run Norton VPN!

Thanks for the VPN warning - that would be my first suggestion. Try these:

  1. Reboot your MacBook Air. Often, this "resets" a printing problem.
  2. Go to System Settings/Printers & Scanners, and see if your printer appears. If so, make sure the green "active" spot appears. If not, Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax to re-enable air printing.
  3. Go to System Settings/Printers & Scanners, and Control-Click the affected printer. This resets the printer driver.
