Personally, I hope they don't take away my choice to be able to read messages rather than to have to listen to them on my phone. I find voice messages very annoying.

Well I hope Apple doesn't take away your choice to read messages on your iPhone. Let's just hope Apple can provide an option to either enable or disable this feature on all of our phones.

It certainly sounded as if the original poster wanted to be able to send a voice message and prevent it from being transcribed by the recipient's phone. They explicitly stated they wanted people to listen to their voice. Sounds very much like they want control over what happens on other people's phones to me.
