Contacts Photo and Poster problem

Since Upgrading iPhone 11 Pro to iOS17 I have lost a favourite contact photo from one of my contacts in the Contacts App and cannot seem to restore it on their “card” in my Contacts. Now whatever I do through the Edit section, the only thing that is displayed is the full screen poster, despite having the contact photo visible and selected in the Editing steps.

Is there an option somewhere to only display the small circular contact photo in the Contacts App, rather than the full screen poster version?
