Apple Watch Dim at Night

The auto Dim feature, even when turned off, still dims the watch face at night so that I can't see it as I have issues seeing in the dark. While Apple forces this dimming "to save battery life" it also forces me to not be able to use my watch at night, so I don't care about extended battery life when I can't use the watch. I'd suggest that by forcing this feature instead of allowing users to toggle between useable bright screen at night or power saving dimness, Apple is creating an accessibility issue for people with poor night vision. Allowing this feature to be toggled on or off can't be difficult to do and would provide those with a visual handicap to make a choice - to use my watch at night or to leave it behind "saving a battery". Come on Apple, THINK!

I have complained about this lack-of-feature/lack-of-user-control of the auto-dimming feature since 2020= (my Apple Watch 6). There was a work-around to permanently enable it, and it worked with watchOS 9 and before (the phone app keypad did not have auto-dim and when u select it, it would disable it, after pressing the crown)...They even plugged that hole. My guess it's about bad publicity on battery-life that is promised from the marketing team, and some VP does not want to change it. There have been many requests and complaints, and the only way I can see is to start an "X" hashtag to get enough complaints to enable Apple Team to add this feature. Way back in 2011, when Apple Maps came to the iPhone, it sucked so bad and there was so many complaints that they had to rollback the Apple Maps and fire the Apple Project Manager....So you need that kind of rally online to get them to change this...I would say hundred of thousands of supporters, if not more...It's been 3 years now, and Apple still have not allowed users to disable the AutoDim/Night mode.
