Apple pencil defect

I purchased my apple pencil 1st gen this February. Now, it simply refuses to connect to my iPad. Will I get a replacement?

if they judge it's because of a production defect discovered after purchase and not user handling it should be covered

Hi! Thank you for your reply! I've contacted a service center and they've asked me to visit the store with the pencil. The pencil was working fine till yesterday night and stopped working suddenly since morning...
