Recently had to reset all settings in iPhone 11 on iOS 16.6. Previous text messages would open immediately with a single touch. After reset, when I touch the message, an open button appears. Is there a setting I can change a setting to get rid of the extra step?

Exact same thing happened to us. After settings reset, the “Open” button was required to open a message notification from the lock screen.
Turns out, the Face ID was wiped out. Re-adding it fixed the issue.
