Apple Pay didn’t work

My Apple Pay is set up with my card but when I tried to buy something of an app it asked me to add a card to my account so I did and everything was fine but I deleted the card I just added ( not the Apple Pay card) so I thought it wouldn’t work on app purchases but it still did work now using my Apple Pay card and now I wonder why did it ask me my card and could it be a hacker or something like that because I recently had a scam link sent on my phone that I clicked on but I think it was fine after reading some info off the internet but now I don’t now anymore

FYI, many web sites still don’t yet accept ApplePay, it does require additional web-site development.


Also, you need to be browsing from one

of your Apple devices setup w/ ApplePay.


The sites that do accept it will typically have a large, black “ApplePay” rectangle on the “payment screen” which you may then select.


This “developer” demo page - complete w/ “The Button” demonstrates how it works:
