Recently played section of Apple Music app won't update

From yesterday, the recently played tab wont work on my apple music app. I've tried contacting Apple Support and we tried signing in and out of Media and purchases setting, Force restarting the iPhone, turning on and off the sync library option in apple music settings also the listening history one.

changed some setting in mac too.

but still got no luck.

On my iphone it updates nothing but on my mac it shows grey boxes as i play more music.

And i found an interesting thing where, when I play a music which I've never ever played before it updates and show the song on the recently played section but if I played a song or album that I've have heard ever before it doesn't update anything on my iPhone but in mac it shows these grey boxes.

And another weird part is when I turn off Sync Library setting in my MACS all of these grey boxes instead show the actual songs/albums I've played but when i turn back on Sync Library setting, it again revert backs to grey boxes.

Unfortunately in my iPhone and iPad nothing appears or dissappears when I turn or off the Sync Library Section.

I find this so weird, can anybody link up all these issues for a solution please, I don't seem to know what the issue is.
