Islamic date is one day behind in Apple Watch

Islamic Date (Hijra date) is one day behind on Apple watch. Already done following steps in iPhone:

Go to Settings > calendar > alternate calendar make it off .

then go to General > language & region > region choose “ Saudi Arabia “ after that go again to calendar alternate calendar choose Islamic calendar.

Now you can go back and change the region to what it was.

It does correct the islamic date on iPhone but Apple watch itself still one day behind. There is no setting for calendar in Apple watch.

I have also power cycled the watch.

Update: spoke with Apple Support. Went through a series of steps to try weed out the problem (software updates, ensuring mirroring etc). Eventually it turned out - at least in my case - to be an issue with the specific watch face, ie I face the issue when using my chosen watch face (Lunar) but when i chose certain other watch faces (eg Modular Ultra, Astronomy), the correct Hijri date would show. I am not sure if others here are also using the Lunar watch face or different ones, but try changing the watch face you use and see if the problem persists.

In my case they will look into the watch face and keep me updated.

the situation I reported is different. Apple Watch and Apple Calendar are not in sync for Islamic dates. Today on July 24th Apple Calendar shows Muharram 18. On the Apple Watch it shows Muharram 17. Nothing to do with moon sighting.

I suggested to Unpair it and set up again as New Watch (no backup restore)

Try that. You can always unpair and restore if not fixed, in which case contact Apple Support

if the re-pair didn't help, what did Apple Support say?
