“First day of week” not mirrored, and not configurable

on iPhone, in Settings app > General > Language & Region > First Day of Week > set it to a desired day (for this test, choose one that is not the default for your country, for example, try Wednesday)

on iPhone, in Watch app > General > Language & Region > choose Mirror my iPhone

behaviour: Calendar app on watch does not reflect your chosen day!

expected behaviour: calendar app on your watch should mirror the chosen start day of week (that was chosen on your phone), instead, it uses the default for your country

additional information for clarity: in Settings app on phone > Calendar > Start week on > it says “Monday (System Setting)” and in the watch app, all three settings are set to “Mirror my iPhone”

Wanted to add that this bug has been around for over five years from what I can tell, from watchOS 5 to 11

I most recently tested it on the release candidate versions of watchOS 11, paired to an iPhone 12 mini running iOS 18
