Best settings for eye strain, blur, dryness

My eyes become strained and very blurred in a short time while using my Iphone. I do have chronic dry eye also. The blurring makes thing ineligible, even off the device.

id like to find out default or best suggestion for Color Shade in the night shift settings. Are there other visual settings that may also help?

I do realize the time on phone affects eyes also. I do breaks, looking away, eye drops etc.

thank you for any help.

Hopefully others can comment on your specific questions but there are a couple things you can try in addition to - or instead of - using Night shift. Open Settings > Accessibility.

  • Under Display & Text Size, you may find it easier to read if you turn on Bold Text and Increase Contrast.
  • Under Spoken Content, you can select Speak Selection or Speak Screen. Your eyes can do less actual reading when you use these features.

You may want to experiment with several other options available under Accessibility. I hope this helps.

Perfect timing.

i did an extensive writing on reddit on how backlighting colors is directly correlated to our eye sensitivity, resulting in symptoms such as eyestrain, migraine etc.

i did include the colors that might aggravate our sensitivity and also colours to use in our calibration, such as night shift mode.

btw, you can adjust the colours biased (meaning if pure white is closer to a greenish white or orange white in the iphone accessibility settings)
