iPhone 16 pro max causing me blurry vision?

Return to place of purchase. There is no point going through settings etc. Just return it and move on.

The solution is what the original poster did. Use a different cell phone. If the screen technology Apple is using causes you to have blurry vision, you need to change phones. If you think your iPhone is broken, have Apple Support diagnose the issue. If Apple determines an issue exists, costs may be involved.

Have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.
