How to fix the tab area color of Safari when using compact tabs

This suggestion fixes the issue that is presented in Safari and visibility of text and icons of the tab bar is not as it should.

When compact tab layout is checked and used then Show color in compact tab bar should not be checked.

The job is done from Safari Preferences panel.

Two sections are to be checked: Tabs>Tab Layout>Compact and Advanced>Accessibility>Show color in compact tab bar.

Surely Apple will fix this but who know when, so if one works with Safari and faces this issue, can work around it.

Interesting. I do not use compact tabs usually, but I just tested this, both in dark mode and light mode, and I cannot

see any difference caused by the checkbox in question.

Could you be so kind as to post two comparable images, checked and unchecked, so we can see what the problem is?

I know you didn't. I just tested both for completeness.

And now I see what you mean (though they both seem legible to my old eyes...).
