Change color of tabs?

I have eye problems, and find it difficult to tell which tab is the active one in Safari. Is there a way to highlight or change the tab? For example, could the active tab be a different color? I'm aware that the active tab is supposed to be highlighted or brighter already, but my eyes cannot discern the difference. I am using a MacBook Air with Sequoia 15.2. Thanks in advance.

>System Settings>Accessibility>Display>Contrast

>System Settings>Appearance>Dark

Switch to Dark mode... same example as above without Contrast on:
