USB devices not working when connected via multi port adapter

I have been using “uni” multi device adapter to connect pen drive or Bluetooth mouse, monitor to my MacBook Air - m1. Recently usb based Devices stopped working though I am able to connect monitor using this adapter.

can someone help trouble the issue and get it working?

Mac mini M2 Pro cannot detect onboard USB-C Hub in Dell U2421E monitor I have problem to use the onboard hub in the monitor with my new Mac mini M2 Pro. In particular, I plugged Ethernet, USB keyboard and mouse, and external hard drive directly to the monitor, and use the original USB-C cable to connect the monitor to the computer so that the laptop can recognise all the devices. It works well with my dell xps in both Windows and Linux but does not work with Mac mini. Precisely, only the display works, the monitor hub does not work for Mac. Is is normal? Where does the problem come from dell monitor or Mac mini?

usb-c to displayport adapter not working on macbook pro 2018 I bought a usb-c to displayport adapter from Cable Matters on Amazon to connect a second monitor from my macbook pro, using a displayport cable. However, no input recognized. I tried many ways to troubleshoot, figuring out if the macbook pro with 4 usbc ports actually support displayport, as well as checking out apple's article on how to connect a display, and other discussion forums looking for the same issue, but I still can't figure out a solution. This is the third time I got this kind of adapter and the second brand I bought. So frustrating and confusing this is overwhelming me. Also to mention that the displayport cable is actually displayport to dvi, so maybe this is the reason why the adapter doesn't work? Especially as I remembered that this cable did work through a docking station I had, associated with my work laptop from my previous intern. Any help and breakdowns is appreciated. I need a break 😩

Figured out that it’s happening due to a settings under security.
