How to unlock phone when voice over is activated, Siri is not working, and passcode is “incorrect”?

To enter the passcode, first tap the number, then double tap the same number. Do this for each number in the passcode and make sure to give a couple seconds between each number. Learned this the hard way.

VoiceOver mode locked screen I have an IPhone 15 and tried following the steps to tap on the number once then double tap each number for the six digit passcode. This doesn’t work. then I read this was for an older version with a 4 digit passcode. I am not sure if the process to unlock phone in VoiceOver mode Changed with newer IPhones?

iphone SE stuck on Lock Screen with Voiceover not accepting password There is an easy fix. I see many people with different iPhone versions have had this same problem. Try to enter your passcode at Lock Screen and voiceover says each number you hit, but it doesn’t get entered. Or the numbers entered do not unlock the device. Previous answer from Apple Support was to reset your phone. There is no need to do this. On the Lock Screen the first tap of a number selects the number, then double tapping the same number will enter that number in the Passcode field. You will have to repeat that process for each character in your Passcode. This will unlock your phone then you will be able to get into to your Settings to disable Voiceover and reenable it if you still want Voiceover. happy triple tapping.

If you forgot your passcode, you can use your Apple ID and password to erase and reset your device without a computer.

If you enter the wrong passcode on your iPhone Lock Screen too many times, an alert lets you know that your iPhone is disabled. (Learn what to do if you see "[Device] unavailable" or "Security Lockout" on your iPhone or iPad.)
