iphone SE stuck on Lock Screen with Voiceover not accepting password

There is an easy fix. I see many people with different iPhone versions have had this same problem. Try to enter your passcode at Lock Screen and voiceover says each number you hit, but it doesn’t get entered. Or the numbers entered do not unlock the device. Previous answer from Apple Support was to reset your phone. There is no need to do this.

On the Lock Screen the first tap of a number selects the number, then double tapping the same number will enter that number in the Passcode field. You will have to repeat that process for each character in your Passcode. This will unlock your phone then you will be able to get into to your Settings to disable Voiceover and reenable it if you still want Voiceover.
