Canon R10 Scanner will not start up on my MacBook Air M2
My new Canon R10 Scanner is connected to my Macbook Air M2 by USB cable provided by Canon, using a small USB - USB-C adapter, since USB-C is the only direct USB connection I can make to the R10. The scanner software then presents Canon's CaptureOnTouch Lite on the Mac screen. When selected, this should enable the scanner. Instead, selection gives the following error :
"Scanner is not ready. (Power may have cycled.) Try Operation again."
Repeated attempts to restart the scanner, disconnecting it, rebooting the Macbook, and everything else is fuitile. Nothing I try can get the scanner to work or get me any further.
Any suggestions are appreciated. I am am relatively new to the Mac, if you couldn't tell . . .
