Apple watch workouts switching

Lately my watch has started to switch workouts on its own. I mountian bike, and sometimes it will randomly switch to running, and stop logging my MTB ride. It usually does this after I stop for on the trail. Like today I stopped to pump up a tire, when I resumed, it had switched to walking and killed the rest of the ride.

Once I was riding near a lake and it switched to rowing, as I went along the lake.

I removed rowing as an option in the list, but I don't want to remove walking/running.

If you stop for more than a moment, remember to pause the workout and keep an eye on it. Auto pause is available on outdoor cycling. It probably asked you if you want to end the workout and you missed the notification - so it did.

I recommend you stop it if the pause will be more than few minutes, like lunch break, and start a new one on resuming. The rowing is bizarre but typical of Siri's over-enthusiastic intelligence - again it probably said "It looks like you are rowing...."
