Apple Watch workout issue

My Apple Watch workout tracks running/walking workouts’ distance properly but does not track distance when cycling (0 feet) and this is baffling me. It tracks heart rate, calories burned, but NOT distance cycled outdoors. Why? I have reset all devices and turned motion tracking on/off on all devices already. Very frustrated.

It obviously should do, provided you selected Outdoor Cycling.

The GPS appears to be OK if walking is working.

Does the feet or miles show on the workout screen?

(Mine is in Metres)

If all settings seem OK there is a universal set of diagnostics you can try before having Apple look at it
