Apple TV internet speed

Goodevening all!

I have a small issue with my Apple TV, is ethernet connected and my Internet speed is 1gbps, but when I do a speedtest on the ATV it just shows 90mbps, after taking of the cable and replug it it goes back to 960mbps. But the very next day it drops again. Any idea why this happens?

Apple TV 4K Ethernet drops to 100mbps after sleep The Apple TV 4K drops from 350 Mbps to 50 Mbps after entering and waking up from sleep mode, confirmed by ookla Speedtest app and posted in many other threads. I upgraded my internet speed yesterday from 60 mbs to 250mbs. I am having difficulty now with my apple 4k tv. The menu screen on my YouTube tv (live) option won’t allow scrolling down through the channels. happening on two systems. Upgraded my internet speed from 60 to 250 mbs. My appletv 4k Smart Control won’t scroll through channels on my utubetv app. Having this issue on two systems. I have restarted my Apple TV, restarted the control, repaired the control, charged the control/s, still have same issue.

Try a cold restart (really off-on, not sleep-wake) of both the router and the Apple TV box. Then try measuring again.

As day-to-day use is expected to stay below 25 Mbps per Apple TV 4K, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Not sure why it dropped though; I find no clue in what you describe. Does it happen for other devices as well?
