Screen time was set as 3 hours for the apple ID linked to 2 device (Ipad and Iphone). After the total usage of time, the device is not blocking the respective app linked under the apple ID. Still able to use the device beyond the set limit.
Suggest how to get effective usage of this screen time option.

If your Screen Time limits are not working, you'll want to confirm in Settings > Screen Time > App Limits, that the application you're trying to limit is showing up there and has a time associated with it.
You can also try removing and recreating the limit to see if that gets it to work.

Aside from that, you'll want to make sure you've covered the basics like restarting your device and making sure it's up to date.
