password autofill not working on chrome on my macbook

i recently got a new macbook and want to use chrome as my default browser.

but when i have to fill in a password apple passwords dont show up for auto fill..

is there any way to get this to work?

(i turned off autofill for passwords saved on chrome)

While the built-in Autofill is designed for Safari per Autofill your user name and password in Safari on Mac you may be able to enable a similar feature in other browsers that offer it. For Chrome specifically see this link since it explains how to use passwords with Chrome Use passwords across your devices.


If you still need help, reach out to Google support if you need additional support of that feature as they would be more versed with their product: Contact Us for Help & Office Location Guidance - Google
