latest 2022 appletv 4K connected via Ethernet cable, appletv menu states connected connection, but I cannot seem to get internet access as the apps say no internet. If I unplug the cable and go wifi it all works. If I use older model appletv via Ethernet it works. Is there any thing I need to do to ensure the new appletv works over Ethernet?

Ok, so this was completely on me. Not sure about your situation, but we use an Eero set up here. The Eero app allows you to pause a device which restricts its access to the internet. I had accidentally toggled this, and it’s not immediately obvious when doing so. I unpaused and now it works great.

not all routers automatically bridge wifi an ethernet networks so it could be your router does not provide internet access for your wired ethernet, and of cause it could also be a bad cable or a broken ethernet port in the appletv
