Is anyone having issues with downloading the Zoom desktop app on an Imac with apple silicon chip?
I receive "The installation failed" pop up error message whenever its downloading. I have the latest macOS, I have enough space on my device, and enabled thrid party apps download!
What am I doing wrong?

I finally did install the Zoom application successfully after going though the following process.

Move the installation package file to your Desktop folder and try installing from there. For some reason it was not asking read permission from the Downloads folder.
I noticed the following error message after a couple of failed attempts on an Apple Silicon Mac:
System Policy: installd(3021) deny(1) file-read-xattr /Users/justicer/Downloads/zoomusInstallerFull.pkg
Spent an hour trying to fix this before I found your post. Worked first time. Thanks for the easy to follow guide :)
Same here. Cant update so I uninstalled, then redownloaded. I keep getting "installation failed"
Thanks justicer, moving the package file to Desktop is the only thing that worked for me.

Meanwhile on a PC... Click download zoom. Zoom dowloaded.
