Family subscriptions on family setup watch

I have an iPhone 14 and an Apple Watch. My son has an Apple Watch SE that is set up under my iPhone as a second watch. Family sharing is active on the phone and the watch and I have a family subscription to Apple Music. I can not add any music to my son's watch. There is no menu item for music on his managed watch page on the phone, and when I try to add music via the watch, it says a subscription is required, which I have. On my phone it says that music is shared with his Apple ID, but on his watch, it says he has no subscriptions.

Hello Blackboot76,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you. Since this issue appeared, have you tried restarting his watch and your iPhone? If not, give it a try. That might help with the issue you're seeing.

1. Restart your iPhone

2. How to restart your Apple Watch

Do you have any restrictions set that might prohibit access to Apple Music for your son? You can view details about this feature in Set up a family member’s Apple Watch: Set up Screen Time.

If that doesn't work, you might try unpairing and re-pairing the watch and your iPhone. Although, you may want to speak with Apple Support for additional guidance before trying this action. If you prefer to work with them, you can reach out at Get Support.

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch

Best regards.
