Siri “Sorry, I'm still having problems with the connection”

FU Siri! If Siri were real I would strangle her. Please help. So every time I ask Siri to perform a shortcut or to add something to a reminder list, I get the response “Sorry I’m still having problems with the connecting”. I have reset my network settings and reset all settings on my iPhone 12 Pro Max which is running 16.2. I have reset my HomePod, which is also currently running 16.2, by removing and reinstalling it. I have assured numerous times that they are both connected to the same network. I have recognize my voice and personal requests set up in the Home app. I’m at my wits and. It used to work just fine. For years in fact. Now all of the sudden it doesn’t. I can ask Siri to turn on and turn off accessories just fine. I can ask Siri to turn on and off whole rooms that I have identified full of accessories just fine. But shortcuts and asking things like adding and item to a reminder list, no such luck. Please help. I don’t know what else I can try at this point. Thoughts? Thanks in advance everyone.

  • Ensure everything using the same Apple ID - look in Home App - tap HomePod icon - Primary User is signed in or you could also sign out, then sign back in.
  • Check again that Personal Requests are enabled in the Home App - Home Settings - Your Name- check each HomePod is enabled
  • Reboot the wifi.
