Issue with Siri always referring a question asked on HomePod mini back to asking the question on iphone for results

I have been having an ongoing issue with Siri referring me back to iPhone for the found results. This is Siri Response Exactly after a very simple question is put forth “I Found Some Web Results, I Can Show Them If You Ask Again From Your Iphone” every question receives this response from Siri. My iphone is updated with the current iOS 16 and I’ve asked the question in the most simplest way for example question “Hey Siri, What kind of doctor works on feet?” Siri responds with the generic response “I found some web results, I can show them if you ask again from your iPhone” I have reset both my HomePod mini’s and this is still the response. When Siri is asked if connected to internet Siri says wifi is on. This is a problem that I can really use a solution for as to ask Siri using my voice and having Siri read some basic information from the internet search Siri performed is what I purchased both of my HomePod Mini’s to do. What is the solution apple? Thank you John Rich

I also have this problem lately, even I ask simple questions like "what is the time now" and "What s the weather outside?", my HomePod mini siri still responded "I Found Some Web Results, I Can Show Them If You Ask Again From Your Iphone" instead of giving me the answer instantly.

That’s not true. Siri used to answer more complex questions, but lately it hasn’t. However, today I threw a test at it and asked it who started World War I. It fully answered it from Wikipedia, though I wish it would just send me web results because who can trust Wikipedia?! Anyway, there has to be a valid fix if it does one thing and not the other. I didn’t need to spend the money I spent on it just to ask in the freaking weather.

While I do not care at all for Amazon’s (Alexa) intrusiveness, it is far superior to Siri’s ability to provide everyday useful information. Those type of questions should not be beyond Siri’s ability. I ask Siri to read today’s news and she sends me to go read something on my iPhone. I asked her just now to read news from WSJ and she gave me February’s headlines (it’s October 2022!) Disappointing because I bought two Homepod Minis for my home for $100 each. On the plus side, they are nice for playing background music, and of course specific podcasts in that app.
