Still no notification sound or alert

I have a iPhone 11, Apple Watch Series 5. Certain apps such as Amazon Walmart and tmz just to name a few still make no sound or alert when I receive a notification. All of my settings are right. Not sure when this first started happening but it’s been over a year now. I’m super annoyed I’m still having this issue. Just updated to 16.2 and it still is not fixed! Apple clearly doesn’t pay attention to this community cause I’ve seen lots of similar posts. I just cancelled my iPhone 14 pro order because I’ve read people with that phone still have the same problem. Apple fix your notification bugs if you want to keep my business. Very close to switching to android

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you. We understand that you are having issues with notifications from specific apps, on both your iPhone and Apple Watch and that you've confirmed all your settings for these notifications is correct.


There are a couple things you can do to see if they help:


  1. Restart your devices - Restart your iPhone and Restart your Apple Watch
  2. Delete and reinstall the apps - Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch


When you mention checking the settings, was that just for your devices? If you haven't done so, you may also want to check settings within your apps as well to ensure they are set to provide you with notifications for specific events/information.
