iPhone not charging properly after 16.1.1 update

Following the update to 16.1.1, my phone isn't charing properly. I found I can plug in for hours and it'll show it'll be charging, but the percentage won't change. It order to actually change, I need to restart my phone every single time I want to change. So, if I use my phone for battery draining purposes or play a battery draining app, I have to restart my phone may times a day. Basically, I need to restart in order to get any sort of charging to occur.

Then, it'll take 2 hours to charge my phone 25-30%. 2 days, prior to this update, I could charge my phone from 30% to full charge in under 2 hours. I'm using the same cable and the same location, the only thing that changed was the IOS update.

I had other strange issues with the update (wallpaper issues, etc.), but I can manage everything else. Not this change issue. I really don't want to replace a phone either over an update.

I had a similar issue with my iPhone 12 not charging after updating to iOS 16.1.1. I ended up turning off Clean Energy Charging and now my phone charges properly and when I want. Reading up on it sounds like it will selectively charge your phone based on availability of lower carbon emissions electricity is available. I’m all for lower carbon emissions (if I choose to enable this option) but this should be off by default.
