2 factor authenticate feature

any idea why the code i get in text is no longer being presented in the browser/app that sent it?

As you do not wish to answer the question asked—that is entirely your choice, of course—contact whichever vendor is supporting the two-factor authentication system you have questions about, and ask them.


Apropos of nothing… Twitter has been having issues in this area with their SMS two-factor implementation, per various reports. Apparently the work-around is to switch to token-based two-factor, again per reports. Or turning off two-factor, with the risks that entails.

Apple two-factor notification has never sent text messages and they were never in an app. They are notifications and are not in any apps. See the information and the example in the screenshot in the following support article: Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support


Are you maybe referring to two step authorization from other companies such as banks rather than from Apple?

Are we discussing Apple and their Apple ID two-factor authentication, or is this some other two-factor scheme?


If it is third party, which one? Check with their support.


For the Apple scheme, the usual reason is the dialog was dismissed or timed out.
