MG4250 scanner Ventura 13.0
Since i installed Ventura 13.0, i still can print on the Canon MG4250, but can't scan.
(no scanner or scanner-option visible in the settings of my Mac)
Would appreciate a helping hand. Rob

Have you tried using Image Capture or Preview to scan with the Canon?
What app are you using to scan with?
Have you checked at the Canon site to see if there's an update for that app (assuming it's a Canon app)?
You might want to try the demo version of VueScan. It works with nearly every scanner produced. I used it with my 7 hear old Canon scanner for several years before I got an all in one unit w/scanner.
I use VueScan instead of the software that came with my new scanner as it's more powerful and versatile. One time purchase, lifetime updates.

Although Hamrick shows monthly subscriptions, I recommend a single purchase of VueScan Professional and you will never need to pay an upgrade fee again.
In 2010, I purchased VueScan Professional for what was then an abandoned Canon scanner. That scanner still works on macOS Ventura using the current VueScan Professional version and I have not paid any additional fee to use VueScan in 12 years. I also do not receive any benefits from the vendor for mentioning their product here.
Hi Old Toad,
Before updating to Ventura 13.0, i simply used the Cannon-scanner shown in the Printers-tab of the MacOS system settings (not using any additional software). The system settings of Ventura don't mention a scanner in any shape or form; the scanner simply doesn't exist anymore!
But did you launch Apple's Image Capture and see if it discovers your attached scanner?
Also, confirmed that VueScan Professional does support the MG4250 without any Apple or Canon software/drivers necessary.
P.S.
I tried VueScan and i could scan a document, be it that the scan was watermarked.
(the monthly fee for a license justifies buying a new printer)
The Canon-website shows drivers on its Support-page, but NOT for Ventura.
Image Capture shows 2 items in the left-hand collum:
Equipment 0
Shares 1
Under shares i discovered the Canon printer and in the end i could scan a A4-page. Wow!
This in fact is all i wanted to achieve. So, thank you for your hint!!
Rob

Wil look for "Apple's Image Capture"(never used it before)
Found Image Capture, but the app tells me "No scanner detected".
