mouse freeze/unresponsive when mirroring to apple TV

Let's work towards getting the mouse working smoothly, even when using the mirroring feature. To start, we'll begin ruling out some basics, along with confirming more details to better understand what's happening:

1. We see you have macOS 12.2.1, but the latest version for it would be macOS 12.6.1. Since you have a compatible Mac model, it'll also be compatible with macOS 13.0 if you decide to upgrade. Bare minimum, we still recommend backing up, then updating to macOS 12.6.1 using the steps listed here: Update macOS on Mac
2. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart. Check out the section 'Restart' here: Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac
3. When did this start to occur, and is it the mouse that came with your Mac?
