When I try to create a new message or screenshot an item and try to share it with an established group, my iPhone doesn’t allow me to populate the name of the group. I have to type in each name individually, every time. Does anybody know how to fix this?

You can only name an iMessage Group and not SMS or MMS Groups

Anyone in a group iMessage can add or remove someone from the conversation. You can remove a person from a group iMessage that has at least three other people. You can’t add or remove people from group MMS messages or group SMS messages.

Yes, the groups are all already named and have been established for long periods of time. The only way for me to access them is by scrolling down and finding the group name. Trying to avoid that, as I often have screenshots id like to send

having the exact same problem since updating my phone. Did you ever resolve on your phone? I’ve searched and searched and most of the responders don’t even understand the question.
Have not resolved! And I agree, it’s a hard issue to explain and thus many don’t understand how to answer. Would love to know how to fix! It’s pretty inconvenient.
