Adding ticket to Apple Wallet

I cannot see 'add to wallet' as an option when I click on an e-ticket attachment to an e-mail on my iPhone (running iOS16). I can only download it to 'files' or other apps. When I open the email on my laptop and use the phone camera to scan the QR code, I get taken to google in Safari searching for a numerical sequence.

Does all this mean this is not a 'wallet-ready' ticket?

A wallet-ready ticket will have a button labeled “Add to Wallet"

thanks, that makes it clear. I was expecting wallet to have a button to add ticket and scan a QR code, but now I know I should not expect to see that.
