Using adapter to connect my MacBook Pro 2022(HDMI)to Dell external monitor(DP) with HDMI to DP cable. But it doesn’t work.

what model dell display, or a link to its specifications

what adapter is it, exactly? what port on the computer to what port on the display?

what cables are you using?

I’m using 2022 M2 MacBook Pro.

adapter is USB-c 5-in-1(with HDMI)

the cable I’m using is HDMI to DP CABLE

That setup can not work.

In general, you must make the conversion from computer output port to display input port in at most ONE adapter. You can not 'stack" adapters.

what model dell display ?
