I have a 2022 m2 MacBook Air to which I am trying to connect external monitor. The monitor is connected by HDMI cable to a USB adapter, which is connected to a j5create USB-C adapter that is then connected to the MacBook. However, the computer is not detecting monitor. What am I doing wrong? Is the j5create adapter not compatible with the Mac air?

If you want to connect a monitor it is best not to use adapters. Connect the monitor with an USB C to HDMI cable instead. Adapters most of the times don't have enough power to send the display signal

the usb to usb-c is a powered port. I have an audio interface that is also connected to the same port and functions just fine, would the video signal need more power?
also kinda want everything plugged into one port so I can easy connect and disconnect my laptop
